NEWBERRY – Newberry women's basketball team will travel to Jefferson City, Tenn. to face the No. 9 ranked Eagles of Carson-Newman on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 2:00 p.m.

RECORDS: Newberry is 10-7 overall, 5-5 SAC and Carson-Newman is 17-1 overall, 9-1 SAC.

  • Head coach Sean Page has two 1,000 career pointers so far this season; Nicola Handreck (vs. Limestone) and Meg Essex (vs. Queens).
  • Meg Essex needs 53 more blocks this season to tie recent Newberry Hall of Fame inductee, Tiffany Johnson at 225.
  • Essex has seven double-doubles on the season to equal 10 on her career.
