Photos updated on Smith Road construction progress

Newberry College fans, friends, family and supporters can follow along with construction progress at the new Smith Road Complex soccer and softball phase construction with photo galleries at NewberryWolves.com.

Irrigation and drainage installation has begun, with dirt and sand laid on the softball field. Grading continues on the soccer field. Grass planting in the softball field is anticipated for May.

The soccer and softball teams have shared a facility since the late 1990s, with one corner of the soccer field being replaced each fall and then temporary fencing installed for softball season. The corner had to be re-planted each summer in order to be ready for each fall's soccer season.
