Lady Indians XC places eighth at The Citadel Invitational

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Newberry College women's cross country team finished eighth among non-Division I opponents on Saturday morning at The Citadel Invitational in Charleston, S.C. Lees-McRae College placed first amongst non-Division I opponents and Lenoir-Rhyne College was second.

Sophomore Taylor Hansen (Newnan, Ga.) was the top finisher for the Lady Indians, coming in 15th after running the 5K race at a time of 20:42. Freshman Sara Heath (Summerville, S.C.) was the next best Lady Indian runner with a 35th place showing after a 21:55 time.

Lenoir-Rhyne's Genna Eisenmann was the best non-Division I finisher with a time of 18:42.
