Men's Cross Country Finish Sixth at Connie Maxwell Invitational

GREENWOOD, S.C. Ė The Newberry menís cross country team competed in their first meet of 2006 last Saturday, finishing in sixth place at the 16th Annual Lander/Connie Maxwell Cross Country Invitational.

Anderson won the menís event with 31 points.  The Indians earned 151 points en route to their sixth-place finish.  Seth Utley had the best time of the Indian runners, finishing in 23rd place with a time of 31:21.  Felipe Sobrinho wasnít too far behind, finishing in 26th place with a time 31:43.

Both menís and womenís teams will compete in the Eye Opener held in Spartanburg, SC this Saturday.
