Newberry women finish seventh, men ninth at Erskine Invitational Cross Country Meet

DUE WEST, S.C. – Newberry’s women finished seventh while the men finished ninth as the Indians ran in their last regular season meet of the year. Laura Banda led the women finishing 24th while Jack Holden paced the men finishing 28th.

Banda ran a time of 22:41.31 while Olga Kuzmenkova finished 35th with a time of 24:07.69. Heather Warren finished third for the Indians as she placed 43rd in the meet as she ran a time of 24:42.47.

Holden led the Indian men with a time of 31:34.82. Bobby Burgess followed him with a time of 33:48.74, finishing 42nd. Josh Smith and Louis Fulmore ran back to back, finishing 49th and 50th with times of 34:53.05 and 35:14.07, respectively.

Newberry next competes at the South Atlantic Conference Championships in Greeneville, Tenn., on Oct. 22.
