HILTON HEAD ISLAND – Newberry fell 8-1 to the Bulldogs in their penultimate match in Hilton Head Island on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wolves have not suffered a loss since dropping 5-3 to nationally-ranked Lander on Feb. 3 and currently hold a 11-3 record.

No. 2 Jose Navarro dropped the Wolves first match in singles 2-6, 3-6 but Ambarzumjan followed it up in a three-set thriller 5-7, 6-1, 10-6 at the No. 1 position to give the Wolves their lone singles win.

Ferris State finished the day with four consecutive decisions to hand the Wolves the 8-1 loss.

The Wolves will remain in Hilton Head Island for their final match against Tiffin on Thursday, March 8.
