Men swept at home by Francis Marion

NEWBERRY, S.C. – Francis Marion University defeated Newberry College 9-0 in men’s tennis action at the Cannon Courts in the blustering cold Friday afternoon. Number one singles was the best match of the day with Newberry’s Toby Rawlings (Bristol, ENGLAND) falling 6-1, 6-4 to the Patriots number one Lewellyn King.

The Newberry women travel to Francis Marion Saturday for a 2 p.m. match. The men will take to the court next Thursday at Georgia College and State University at 2 p.m.
