Name: Zachary McCall

McCall, a senior from Chapin, S.C., embarks on his final year with the Wolves men’s soccer program.
Prior to Newberry, McCall attended Chapin High School where he was a kicker on the football team. He decided to attend Newberry because he was close to home and he was able to afford the cost of being here.
He credits his parents for his grounded upbringing. “My parents raised me to respect everyone. My dad taught me that everything I do has my own signature on”, he stated. McCall will be graduating with his Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in May. After graduation, he plans to attend med school and become a CRNA.
In his free time he enjoys cheering on the New England Patriots and AC Milan. His favorite Athlete is Andrea Pirlo, a midfielder for New York City FC. He enjoys being able to spend time at the shooting range and listening to Thomas Rhett,
Regarding his keys to success in competition he works on certain elements until he can’t get it wrong. McCall also makes sure he has determination to be successful in anything and everything he does.
Something interesting about him is that he has two rare medical conditions: Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Parsonage Turner Syndrome. McCall was also invited to kick for Clemson University football team.
Name: Mitchell Parraga
Favorite Food: Anything from the cafe
Parraga, a sophomore from Millersville, Maryland, embarks on his second year with the Wolves soccer program.
Prior to Newberry, Parraga was a varsity starter at Old Mill HS during his freshman and sophomore year. He played club soccer for ASA Milan Blackhawks in the highly competitive Super Y League throughout high school. He most recently played club for IFK under-19 boys team in Baltimore.
He decided to attend Newberry because of the location and being able to play soccer. Parraga was also impressed with the impressive engineering program. With the Wolves he played in seven games and totaled 83 minutes for the season. To be successful in matches he tries to keep a high intensity, that influences everyone around him. On each gameday he wears his underwear backwards.
In his free time he enjoys cheering on Barcelona and destroying ant hills. As a child he aspired to be a Power Ranger. Something interesting about him is that Nate Kaminski is his roommate. His greatest athletic achievement is when he was playing a pickup game and he did a bicycle kick and scored. “It was epic!”, Parraga said.
Name: Billy Decker
Major: Business Administration
Favorite Food: Steak-Umms
Decker, a senior from Anchorage, Alaska enters his final year with the Wolves men’s soccer program.
“Being a military brat, I had to move around a lot. This forced me to be more adaptive to any situation that I am thrown into,” he stated regarding his upbringing. Before deciding to attend Newberry, Decker was a member of the soccer team for four years at Mountain View High School. Under the direction of Fernando Romas, he started all four years.
Decker had a very decorated high school career with the team, being named to the first team all-district and second team all-region as a junior. His senior year he was named to the first team all-conference, first team all-region and first team all-state. He also received the all-area honor his senior year. As a junior was named first team all-district and second team all-region.
He decided to attend Newberry because he liked the guys on the team and could see himself one day playing for the Wolves. He has played a significant role for the team the past four years. During the 2016 season, he started in five of the nine matches he played in. He excelled off the field by being named to the SAC Commissioner's' Honor Roll.
In his free time he enjoys supporting his favorite athlete Patrice Evra and watching the USA Women’s National Soccer team. He likes listening to music before each game and his favorite hobby is napping. As a child he aspired to become an astronaut. His greatest athletic achievement is being named captain of his high school team his senior year. His team also won the conference tournament for the first time in school history.
Something interesting about Decker is that he is a procrastinator. “One time when I was younger my dad sarcastically told me, “if you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute” and being too young to understand the sarcasm, I took it to heart and to this day I have a bad habit of procrastinating”, he said.
