NEWBERRY - Brad Dixon has been nominated for the D2 Men's Soccer HERO of the Week award, an award from HERO Sports that recognizes the best individual performances of the week for NCAA sports.


The junior recorded 28 saves in 212 minutes in goal for the Wolves. In a two-two draw against Lees-McRae on October 18, Dixon made 19 saves on 21 shots giving up two goals. Dixon is one of two players from the South Atlantic Conference nominated for this awards. Edgar Cervantes from Tusculum is also a nominee for the weekly award.

The award is determined by fan votes and the poll closes this Friday at noon Pacific.  Votes may be cast once per hour until the deadline and the winners will be announced Friday afternoon.  Dixon is one of 10 student-athletes that have been nominated for this week’s D2 Men's Soccer award.
