NEWBERRY - The Newberry College men’s soccer team will host University of Mount Olive in a non-conference match on Wednesday, October 28. This will be Newberry’s last home match of the season. The start time is 3:00 p.m.

RECORDS: As of right now, the Wolves are 2-13 overall and 0-10 in the South Atlantic conference for the 2015 season. The Trojans are 7-7 overall and 5-4 in the Conference Carolinas so far for the season.

 NEWBERRY NOTES

  • The team fell to Mars Hill, 1-0, this past Saturday. Before the game the team honored seniors Bennett Murphy, Lucas Ferreira, Jalin Butler, and Mario Stojkoski. Brad Dixon made five saves in goal for the Wolves.
  • Davis Bryan leads the team offensively with seven points (three goals, one assist).
  • Dixon has made 64 saves for the season for a 2.24 Goals Against Average.

MOUNT OLIVE NOTES

  • Mount Olive recently fell to Limestone, 3-2. Cooper Gaypia and Nikolai Iotov scored one goal each for the Trojans.
  • The Trojans are led by Nick Bernsdorf making 44 saves in goal for a 1.20 Goals Against Average.
  • Gaypia leads the team offensively by scoring nine goals for Mount Olive.
