The Wolves welcome Roberts Wesleyan for first home game

NEWBERRY - The Newberry men’s lacrosse team will host their inaugural game at Setzler Field on Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. To celebrate the momentous occassion the evening will be filled with fun and giveaways.

 Newberry College vs. Roberts Wesleyan

WHERE: Setzler Field in Newberry, S.C.

WHEN: 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20




  • Stone Boone, Bradley Chambliss, Dylan Mansur, Justin Messersmith, Jeremy Ross and Daniel Sullivan are all products of Anne Arundel junior college in Arnold, MD. The six guys accumulated for 122 goals and 75 assists during the 2017 season.
  • With the Wolves, Mansur has tallied six goals, three assist, and 17 shots in the first two games of the season.

ROBERTS WESLEYAN STORYLINES                                                              

  • Senior goalkeeper Keith Keehn started in all 16 games last season and caught 192 saves on the season and posted a .552 save percentage.

Kaufmann Dining Hall will be holding a pre-game tailgate between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to celebrate the newly added lacrosse team. Due to Kaufmann providing food at the game, the cafe will be closed during the respective hours.

During the game there will be performances by the Scarlet Poms and the Newberry College cheerleading team. Wolf Nation will holding numerous promos throughout the game and during halftime.
