ORLANDO, Fla. – Newberry College is at ten-over par at Rio Pinar Country Club as they compete for the McDonough Cup.


The Wolves currently rank 4th out of 18 teams after 36 holes were played on day one. The teams will play 18 more tomorrow, on the final day.


Newberry is a cool one-shot behind Georgia College and Flagler College. Rollins College leads the way shooting even.


Spencer Skiff
is leading the way for the Wolves shooting one-under on the day, which has him tied for 6th. Skiff is four shots behind leader Jakob Van de Flierdt. Harry Bolton is a couple shots back of Skiff at one-over.


Evan DeGrazia
is tied for 23rd as she shot five-over on day one. Ben Thompson is at seven-over, and Luke Atack was ten-over for the day.


Newberry joins Wingate and Carson-Newman as the only South Atlantic Conference teams competing for the McDonough Cup.


Play continues with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
