Rain scraps first round of South Atlantic Conference men's golf championship

MARVIN, N.C. – The first round of the 2015 South Atlantic Conference men’s golf championship tournament at the Firethorne Country Club in Marvin, N.C., has been cancelled due to rain.

The teams were able to start the opening round, but heavy rain forced a stoppage of play. All of today’s scores have been scrapped and the tournament has been reduced to a 36-hole affair with 18 holes on both Monday and Tuesday.

The first official round will begin tomorrow morning, April 20, at 11:00 a.m. with a double-tee time and the final round will be played on Tuesday, April 21.
