Campbell jumps 44 spots to 27th after second round at South/Southeast Super Regional

CONOVER, N.C. - Newberry College senior Matthew Campbell (Rome, N.Y.) carded a 2-under par 70 in Tuesday's second round of the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Super Regional on the Jones Course at the Rock Barn Golf and Spa.

Campbell is now tied for 27th in the tournament with a 3-over par 147 through two rounds. He carded three birdies and only one bogey, improving by seven strokes from Monday's first round. Only three players had better rounds than Campbell in the second round.

The top two players not on the top five teams after Wednesday's third and final round will advance to the NCAA Division II National Tournament later this month.
