WHITE LAKE, N.C. - Seven Newberry College Wolves are participating at the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate as individuals as the team prepares for the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Championships. The first round of action was completed today.
Daniel Stanley (Inman, S.C.) is the leader of the Newberry pack after the first day, carding a 2-over par 74 to sit in a tie for 22nd place. Dixon Walker (Lexington, S.C.) is tied for 26th after a 3-over par 75, just one stroke back of Stanley.
Chandler Gruenemeier (Jacksonville, Fla.) is tied for 52nd after a 6-over par 78. Jon Lussier (Burlington, Vt.) is tied for 63rd after an 8-over par 80, while both John Allen Meetze (Chapin, S.C.) and Ben Firebaugh (Roanoke, Va.) are tied for 67th after a 9-over par 81. Jeff Reid (West Columbia, S.C.) rounds out Newberry players tied for 77th with a 19-over par 91.
