Newberry men's golf ranked in Division II regional rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Newberry College men's golf team is ranked seventh in the NCAA Division II regional rankings that were released this weekend.

In the Southeast Region, the University of South Carolina-Aiken is currently ranked first in front of Georgia College & State University, Columbus State University (Ga.), Armstrong Atlantic State University (Ga.), Clayton State University (Ga.), and Lander University (S.C.).

At seventh, the Indians are the highest ranked South Atlantic Conference team. The Carson-Newman College Eagles are in eighth place, followed by Tusculum College and Catawba College.

Newberry has placed in the top five as a team in four of five tournaments this spring. Individually, the Indians have placed in the top ten on 11 occasions.
