Men's Golf finishes second at Johnny Palmer Memorial Intercollegiate

NEW LONDON, N.C. - The Newberry College men's golf team finished in second place at the recent Johnny Palmer Memorial Intercollegiate hosted by Pfeiffer University held at The Old North State Golf Club.

Ben Lown (North Augusta, S.C.) finished in a tie for 2nd place, his fourth finish in the Top Five so far this season, and was named to the All-Tournament team.

Daniel Stanley (Inman, S.C.) and Brandon Burnside (North Augusta, S.C.) both finished in the top 10. Stanley shot 80-74=154 and Burnside shot 79-77=156.

Stephen Holmes (Chapin, S.C.) shot 77-83=160 and Donald Hadley (North Augusta, S.C.) shot 78-85=163. Sean Collard (Gauteng, South Africa) competed as an individual, and shot 78-81=159.

The Indians' next tournament is this coming Sunday-Tuesday, February 24-26 at The Pirate Invitational in Savannah, Ga.
