Indians Finish Fifth at Rendleman Invitational

SALISBURY, N.C. Newberry College shot a second round total of 298 to finish in fifth place with a 597 at the 2007 Richard Rendleman Invitational at the par-71, 6,665 yard Country Club of Salisbury on Tuesday afternoon.

The Indians were one shot off from the fourth-place team Presbyterian, who finished with a 596.  UNC Pembroke and North Greenville were tied for second with a 594 while USC Aiken captured the team title with a 571.

Colby Hyduke shot a one-over par 72 to finish tied for 16th with a 148.  Hunter Mengel followed Hyduke with a 149 and finished tied for 20th.

Newberry will next compete in the Tusculum College Invitational in Greeneville, TN on Saturday, March 10.
