Indians Seventh at St. Andrews Invitational

WAGRAM, NC - The Newberry College menís golf team fired a first-round 310, good for seventh place in the opening round of the St. Andrews Invitational at the Deecroft Golf Club.

Individually, Daniel Lee is the highest individual Newberry golfer, shooting a 76 to finish first-round action in a tie for 20th place.  Sean Collard follows with a 77, good for a tie for 23rd place.

Mount Olive College holds the team-lead with a one over-par 289.  Mikael Moberg of Mount Olive is the individual leader, shooting a first round 69.

The nine teams will conclude the 36-hole tournament tomorrow morning with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.
