Due to an error in score input, Newberry is one stroke back of Tusculum and nine behind the leader, Lenoir-Rhyne.  It was originally reported that Newberry College and Tusculum College were deadlocked at 588 and tied for second.

HICKORY, N.C. -  After two rounds of the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference men's golf championships, Newberry College finds itself in third place and nine strokes behind the leader, Lenoir-Rhyne.  The final round will take place Tuesday at the Lake Hickory Country Club at Catawba Springs.

Newberry junior Brian Rush (Duncan, S.C.) sits atop the individual leaderboard beside 2006 SAC Player of the Year, Lenoir-Rhyne's Kent George at one-under.  Billy Burrows (Bluffton, S.C.; t-5th) and Daniel Lee (Lincolnton, Ga.; t-9th) are also in the top ten of the 40-man field.
