Newberry ties for fifth at Richard Rendleman Invitational

SALISBURY, N.C.- The Newberry College men's golf team finished in a tie for 5th place with Presbyterian College.  There were 17 teams competing in Salisbury at the Richard Rendleman Invitational hosted by Catawba.  The Indians shot 602 and were 16 strokes back from Pfeiffer, who won the two day tournament with a total 586.  

Brian Rush (Duncan, S.C.) led the Indians with +2 for the tournament and earned a fourth place finish.  Justin Chrisley (Newberry, S.C.) and Daniel Lee (Lincolnton, Ga.) also had very strong tournaments for the Indians.  Justin Chrisley (Newberry, S.C.) shot 151 and finished in 25th place and Daniel Lee (Lincolnton, Ga.) shot 152 and finished in 30th place for the Indians.

The Indians will be in action again on March 19-21 at the Lenoir-Rhyne/Rock Barn Invitational.
