GREENVILLE, TENN. - The Newberry College men's golf team trimmed 15 strokes off its opening day 321 to finish seventh in the 15-team field this weekend at the Tusculum Invitational, hosted by Tusculum College at the Link Hill Country Club in Greeneville.

Jonas Reid (Easley, S.C.) turned in one of the better rounds of the season, a +5 on day one, but could not sustain that effort into the second day of play.  Daniel Lee (Lincolnton, Ga.) and Martin Gasque (Holly Hill, S.C.) turned in identical scores on both days to pace Newberry at +11.
