Prior to Newberry
Member of the prestigious Under 17 Australian world championship team in 2010... Represented the Frankston Blues on a United States Tour in 2010-11 and was the team’s leading scorer... Selected to represent Australia in the Nike “All Asia” Camp, where he was selected to the All-Star team... U-18 Frankston Blues team won the Victorian Championship Reserve Competition in both 2009 and 2010 and Riggs was named Grand Final MVP both years... Also represented Victoria in the Under 18 National Championship Tournament where he was the Grand Final’s leading scorer... Recipient of the Frankston and District Basketball Association U16-18 Rising Star Award in 2009.
