NEWBERRY – Newberry returns to South Atlantic Conference play against Catawba. Tipoff from Eleazer Arena is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

The Wolves have won seven games in a row, its most since the 2014-15 season when Newberry ran out to a 10-0 start.

Gerald Evans is third in NCAA Division II in steals per game at 3.13,

Newberry is second in NCAA Division II in forced turnovers per game at 23.47.

The Wolves are second in the South Atlantic Conference in free-throw percentage at 74.3 percent.


Jameel Taylor leads Catawba with 18.4 points per game, good for fifth in the South Atlantic Conference.

Catawba ranks second in the SAC in total rebounds per game at 42.2.

Catawba is also third in the SAC in field goal attempts per game with 67.8.

The last time Catawba defeated Newberry was Jan. 8, 2014 in 98-96 double overtime thriller.

Newberry has won 11 of its last 14 contests.
