NEWBERRY – Newberry men's basketball will travel to Brevard on Saturday, Jan 14 at Boshamer Gymnasium  in Brevard, N.C Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Newberry made a season-high 20 three-point field goals and shot a season-best 52.6 percent from downtown against Coker.

Newberry has won its past five games for the first time this season and has won nine out of the last 12 contests.

Lamell Washington collected a season-best three blocks against the Cobras.

Newberry held Coker to just 36.2 percent shooting from the floor.


Stevie Williams leads Brevard with 17.7 points per game, good for fifth in the South Atlantic Conference..

Brevard has won the last two meetings in Brevard over Newberry.

The Tornados have lost their last three contests.

Brevard is fourth in the SAC in steals per game at 8.0.

The Tornados defeated Warren Wilson on 11/30, Newberry defeated the Owls 108-90 earlier this year.
