NEWBERRY – Newberry men's basketball will put its three-game winning streak on the line against Tusculum on Sunday, Jan. 8 at Eleazer Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

James Stepp’s nine made three pointers are the most made threes in school history, according to available records.

Stepp’s 19 three-point attempts are tied for most in school history with Shamel Akins, according to available records.

Newberry has won three straight and seven of its last 10 contests.

Newberry leads the South Atlantic Conference in assists per game at 18.4 and in steals per game at 13.8.

This is Newberry’s first home game since Dec. 14.


Ronnie Baylark leads Tusculum with 16.2 points per game.

Zach Hartle is second in the South Atlantic Conference in three-point field goal percentage at 50.0 percent. Baylark ranks third in the same category at 49.0 percent.

Tusculum is second in the SAC in three-point field goal percentage, shooting 40 percent.

The Pioneers are third in the SAC in made threes per game and three-point attempts per game.
