NEWBERRY – Newberry men's basketball will travel to Lenoir-Rhyne on Thursday, Jan 4 at Shufford Gymnasium in Hickory, N.C Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

Head coach Dave Davis earned his 450th career victory with the win over Lincoln Memorial.

Seven Newberry players are averaging double-figure points per game.

Marshall Lange was named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for the events of Dec. 12-18.

Newberry leads the South Atlantic Conference in free-throw percentage at 76.6 percent and in free-throws made per game at 20.3.


Reed Lucas leads Lenoir-Rhyne with 14.0 points per game.

Jacques Chambers is second in the South Atlantic Conference, averaging 9.1 rebounds per game.

Billy Bales is shooting 49.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc, good for fourth in the SAC.

Lenoir-Rhyne is second in the SAC in three-point attempts per game, as the Bears are averaging 29.0 attempts.



Newberry defeated Lenoir-Rhyne in the Quarterfinals of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament last season.

Newberry currently ranks second in the South Atlantic Conference in offensive rebounds per game at 14.6.
