NEWBERRY - Newberry concludes the 2014-15 campaign on Saturday afternoon at Carson-Newman inside the Holt Fieldhouse at 4 p.m. With a win, Newberry clinches the No. 2 seed in the South Atlantic Conference postseason tournament.

Previously, the Wolves blew by the Wingate Bulldogs inside Eleazer Arena 100-76 for their fifth straight victory. Senior Dondray Walker (Fountain Inn, S.C.) made his return to the court scoring 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Demarkus Smith (Johnston, S.C.) paced the way for the Scarlet and Gray adding 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor. Brandon Taylor (Coshocton, Ohio) added 13 points and nine rebounds.

On the year, Smith leads the team with 17.0 points per contest and 4.3 rebounds per outing. Taylor snags a team-high 4.9 rebounds as well as 10.0 points per game. Mitch Riggs (Langwarrin, Vic., Australia) pours in 12.9 points per game and pulls down 3.7 rebounds per outing. Walker adds 12.3 points per contest with a 3.4 rebounds per game average.

For the Eagles they edged out Newberry in double-overtime during the first meeting on January 24. Carson Brooks leads the team with 15.6 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per appearance. Jared Johnson adds 12.3 points per game while Sawyer Williams contributes 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

The Wolves will host a first-round matchup on Wednesday evening inside Eleazer Arena, opponent has yet to be determined.
