NEWBERRY - Following a 90-74 loss to the Coker Cobras, Newberry is on a three-game losing skid and look to avoid a four-game losing streak for the first time since 2012-13. Against Coker, Newberry was led by Xavier Holmes with 16 points and three rebounds as well as Demarkus Smith's 15 points and six rebounds.

For the Wolves, they fall to 7-4 in conference and 13-4 overall. Smith paces the way with 16.0 points per contest as well as 4.0 rebounds per game. Mitch Riggs contributes 12.7ppg alongside his 2.82 assists per game. Gerald Evans continues to lead the team in assists with 3.69 and remains second in rebounding at 4.1

Carson-Newman and Newberry are meeting for the first time on the year. The Eagles are led in scoring by Carson Brooks with 15.2 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per contest. Alongside Brooks, Ryan Jones paces the way with 3.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. Carson-Newman boasts three of the top five field goal percentage shooters in the South Atlantic Conference.

Newberry continues it's three-game home stand on Wednesday versus the Queens Royals at 8 p.m.
