Newberry set for home opener against Brevard

NEWBRRY - Following a thrilling victory on Tuesday evening at Coker the Wolves welcome the Brevard Tornados on Saturday afternoon for the 2014-15 home opener slated for 4 p.m. inside the friendly confines of Eleazer Arena.

Thursday's win marked the fourth win on the year for Newberry and their first conference win on the season. Tomorrow's opponent, the Brevard Tornados come into the matchup having yet to find a victory on the 2014-15 season as they sit 0-3 on the season, mostly recently dropping a contest to North Georgia 104-91 on Tuesday evening in Brevard.

Newberry is led by Mitch Riggs who averages 13.0 points per game and 4.25 assists on the season and Demarkus Smith who averages 11.0 points per game and 3.25 assists per game. On the opposite side, the Tornados are led by Darius Moose at 20 points per game, Phil Wallace at 13.7 points per game and Jaylon Debardlabon with 6.3 rebounds per game.
