LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Bellarmine (4-3, 1-0 ECAC) defeated the Newberry College field hockey team (1-4, 0-2 ECAC) 7-1 Friday afternoon at O.B. Frazier Stadium.

The Knights opened the game scoring two quick goals in the first five minutes of the contest. Caitlyn Warren notched a shot on goal at 7:36 in the first half after Kristyna Oyola’s penalty corner. Bellarmine’s Katie Jo Hollkamp scored her first goal of the season at the 19:00 mark. The Knights added another goal before the halftime whistle to lead at the break 4-0.
