NEWBERRY - The Newberry Wolves' football team has been ranked 25th nationally in the final ranking for the 2013 season by D2Football.com, as announced Monday morning.

Newberry finished with a 9-3 record and qualified for the NCAA Division II playoffs for just the second time in program history. This ranking, coupled with a No. 23 final ranking from the American Football Coaches' Association poll, marks the first time Newberry has finished in the top 25 of both polls since 2007, when the then-Indians finished 20th in the AFCA poll and 19th in the D2Football.com poll.

The Wolves earned 11 all-South Atlantic Conference selections and have earned 11 all-Super Region Two honors from various publications.

Newberry is one of three SAC teams in the final rankings behind national runner-up Lenoir-Rhyne and No. 17 Carson-Newman.
