Wolves end season ranked No. 23 in AFCA Coaches Poll

WACO, Texas - Following the program's second-ever playoff appearance, the Newberry College Wolves have earned the ranking of No. 23 nationally in the American Football Coaches' Association Division II Coaches' Poll, which was announced Monday.

Newberry went 9-3 overall and advanced to the NCAA Division II playoffs, where the scarlet and gray were eliminated in the first round by Carson-Newman.

The Wolves placed 11 players on the all-South Atlantic Conference teams with seven players on the DAKTRONICS all-Super Region Two teams.

Newberry is one of three SAC teams in the final ranking after second-ranked and national runner-up Lenoir-Rhyne and 17th-ranked Carson-Newman.
