CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Former Newberry College All-American Ron Parker has been activated by the Carolina Panthers to the 53-man roster for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, as announced by the club Saturday.

Sunday's game is scheduled for a 4:05 p.m. EDT kickoff at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium and will be televised live on Fox. Most affiliates in the Carolinas will carry the game, while customers served by the Augusta and Savannah markets will only be able to view the game on the NFL Sunday Ticket package from DirecTV.

Parker's activation marks a return to NFL action with his third team and a chnace to prove himself. The Seahawks placed him on waivers on August 27 following training camp. He was then added to the Panthers' practice squad on September 2. In 2011, he appeared in three games with the Oakland Raiders and two games with Seattle.
