Newberry Football Pro Day to be held on Monday, March 29
Wednesday, March 24, 2010 | by Draft-eligible players from Newberry and other area schools to work out for scouts

NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Newberry College football program will hold a Pro Day for players who have completed their collegiate eligibility on Monday, March 29, at 1 p.m., head coach Todd Knight announced today.

Scouts from multiple professional teams have confirmed their attendance at Monday's event, which will feature some of the area's top college talent.

Adrian McLeod, LB, Western Carolina - Oxon Hill, Md.
Andre Moyd, LB/DB, Newberry - Andrews, S.C.

Collegiate athletes who have completed their eligibility are invited to participate, but their collegiate head coach must contact Newberry head coach Todd Knight by noon this Friday. Scouts who would like to attend the event should confirm their attendance with pro liaison Mitch Hall. Hall's office phone is (803) 321-5654 and his email address is mitchell.hall@newberry.edu.

Members of the media are also invited to attend the event. Media members should contact Sports Information Director Josh Manck to inform him of their intentions to cover the event.
