NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Newberry College Indians are ranked 20th nationally in the D2Football.com Media Poll, which was released today. This is the second consecutive week the Indians are in the 20th spot.

Newberry (7-2, 3-2 South Atlantic Conference) remained in the same position following a nail-biting 17-14 victory over Tusculum last weekend. Ryan Lukshis' 32-yard field goal with 1.9 seconds remaining gave Newberry the win. Andre Moyd also had a key 92-yard interception return for a touchdown. Both players earned SAC Player of the Week honors.

SAC rival Carson-Newman is ranked 12th, while Catawba is ranked 16th. The Gulf South trio of Valdosta State, North Alabama and Delta State hold the eighth through 10th spots.

The Indians will look to rise in the national and regional rankings this weekend when they battle Lenoir-Rhyne for the Bishops Trophy. Kickoff at Moretz Stadium in Hickory, N.C., is slated for 2 p.m.
