Indians stay at No. 20 in D2Football.com Poll

NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Newberry College football team is ranked No. 20 in the latest D2Football.com Media Poll, which was released today. This is the same position the Indians were ranked last week.

Newberry (6-2, 2-2 South Atlantic Conference) defeated Wingate University, 31-23, last weekend to even its SAC record and stay amongst the nation's best.

Other SAC teams in the poll are Carson-Newman at 13th and Catawba at 17th. The Indians are the third-highest ranked two-loss team in the poll, directly beind Pittsburg State and Abilene Christian.

The Indians will look to move up in the polls, the regional rankings and the SAC standings as they host Tusculum College on Lutheran Youth Day. Kickoff on Saturday at Setzler Field is slated for 7 p.m.
