Indians ranked No. 24 in Football Gazette Top 40

WESTMONT, Ill. - The Newberry College Indians are ranked No. 24 in the lastest Don Hansen's Football Gazette Division II Top 40 poll, which was released today. The 24th ranking marks a drop of 13 spots from last week.

Newberry (4-1, 0-1 South Atlantic Conference) dropped a 49-19 decision to Carson-Newman in both squads' league opener. The Eagles are ranked 14th in this week's Football Gazette Top 40.

This week's opponent, the Catawba College Indians, are ranked 18th in the Football Gazette Top 40. One other South Atlantic Conference school, Wingate University, is ranked 35th.

Saturday's matchup against Catawba is slated for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Shuford Stadium in Salisbury, N.C.
