TIGERVILLE, S.C. - Newberry College and North Greenville University want to make sure all fans interested in Thursday night's primetime football matchup are aware of the NGU campus' rules in regards to tailgating, the television broadcast of the game and the First Annual Coach Joe’s Low Country Boil Crusader Club Tailgate Celebration. Kickoff for the game is slated for 7:07 p.m. this Thursday.
In regards to personal tailgating, fans should be aware that the NGU campus is alcohol- and tobacco-free. The University's alcohol and tobacco policy can be found on page 8 of the Visiting Team Guide, which can be found here. Other valuable information including directions to the campus and nearby restaurants can be found in the guide.
The game will be the Indians' and Crusaders' first televised game of the season. The game will be broadcast live on channel 10 for Charter Cable subscribers in the Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson areas. The announcing team for the game will be Fred Cunningham and Ralph Patterson. For those in the Newberry area, as always, the Indians' broadcast can be found on 1240-AM WKDK with the team of Jimmie Coggins and Brice Zimmerman providing play-by-play and commentary. The NGU athletics department would like to invite all fans to the First Annual Coach Joe’s Low Country Boil Crusader Club Tailgate Celebration. The event will start at 5 p.m. with a free concert by Christian rock group Chasen, which will play outside Younts Stadium until 6:30 p.m.. Also at 5 p.m., Coach Joe’s Low Country Boil will also be available for purchase: $10 for adults, $5 for children (12 & under). More information can be found here.
