Indians Earn Final Ranking of 12th in AFCA Division Top 25 Coaches Poll

NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Newberry College football team earned a final ranking of 12 in the AFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, which was released on Thursday.  The Indians finished the season with 385 total points.

Newberry enjoyed a record-breaking season in 2006, setting a new school-record for most victories in a season with 11.  The Indians claimed their first-ever South Atlantic Conference Championship and made their first appearance in the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs.

Newberry was the only SAC school to make the final top 25 poll of the season.  Below is the complete top 25 poll, including final records for each school.
