Indians Jump to No. 9 in AFCA Coaches' Poll

WACO, Texas - Newberry College moved up two spots to ninth in this week’s AFCA Division Coaches’ Poll. The Indians received 473 points after receiving 411 points last week. In other national polls, the Indians are ranked ninth in the d2football.com poll and 10th in the Don Hansen Poll.

Newberry (10-0, 6-0 SAC) wrapped up their first-ever South Atlantic Conference Championship with a 45-21 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne last Saturday. They will look to finish off the regular season with an undefeated record when they travel to Clinton, SC to face Presbyterian in the annual Bronze Derby this Saturday at 1:30 pm.
