Indians Move to 11th in AFCA Coaches' Poll

WACO, Texas - Newberry College made the biggest jump of the week, moving from No. 15 to No. 11 in this week’s AFCA Division Coaches’ Poll, which was released on Tuesday afternoon.

The Indians (9-0, 5-0 SAC) received 410 points for the week after they defeated Tusculum 27-23 last Saturday. In other polls of interest, Newberry College claimed the 11th spot in the Don Hansen poll and is 12th in this week’s d2football.com poll. In all three polls, the Indians are the highest-ranked South Atlantic Conference school.

Newberry College, who is also the top team in the NCAA Southeast Region, will play host to Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday evening at Setzler Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
