Indians 15th in AFCA Poll

NEWBERRY, S.C. - Newberry College moved up two spots from 17th to 15th in this week’s AFCA Division II Coaches’ Poll, which was released on Tuesday morning.

The Indians (8-0, 4-0 SAC) received 347 total points after defeating then 22nd-ranked Wingate 36-24 last Saturday. In other national polls of interest, Newberry College checks in at No. 15 in both the d2football.com and Don Hansen polls. The Indians, who are also the top-ranked team in the NCAA Southeast Region poll, is the highest-ranking South Atlantic Conference school in all three national polls.

The Indians will travel to Greeneville, TN on Saturday to face Tusculum College at 1:30 pm.
