Football concludes season at Webber International

Newberry's dramatic 28-25 victory over Presbyterian would normally be a great end to the regular season, as the meeting between the Indians and Blue Hose has been the season clincher for both squads since 1950.  Due to effects from Hurricane Charley, the game against Webber International University was originally cancelled, then postponed to the end of the season.

The season concludes Saturday at Lake Wales, Fla., when the Indians and Warriors collide at Legion Field.  WIU has a 5-4 record overall, going 0-2 against South Atlantic Conference schools to this point.  Both teams have won against North Greenville and lost to Wingate; Newberry knocked off PC while Webber dropped a 28-0 decision in the season's second week.

With a win over Webber, Newberry would complete its most successful season since 1999 with a 5-6 record.
