Wolves finish season ranked in NCBWA Southeast Region Poll

PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Newberry Wolves baseball team finished the 2015 season ranked in the final NCBWA Southeast Region poll. 

Newberry fell to the 10th slot in the rankings after climbing to as high as fifth during the regular season. The Wolves finished with a 34-18 overall record, the most wins in recorded history dating back through 1981. 

Catawba (40-12) still anchors the top spot with 109 points and 10 first place votes with UNC Pembroke (37-12) trailing in second place with 83 points.

North Georgia (35-14) hold on to the third slot but picks up one first place vote while Mount Olive (35-14) and Columbus State (35-13) remain in fourth and fifth place, respecitvely. 

Armstrong State (32-13) jumps from eighth slot to sixth this week with Flagler (32-14) and USC Aiken (33-16) each falling down a spot to seventh and eighth, respectively. 

Erskine (35-17) and Newberry swithc places from last week, as the Flying Fleet take the ninth spot on the chart after defeating the Wingate Bullodgs twice this past weekend.
