SALISBURY, N.C. - Newberry College' Ryan Cranmer and Jonathan Rosenberger have been named second team all-Southeast Region by the American Baseball Coaches' Association, which was released Monday.

The award is the second all-region honor for both players this season, as the duo were among the top players in leading the Wolves to their first winning season since 1999. Both players were honored by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association on Sunday.

Cranmer (Newport, N.C.) earned second team honors at third base after becoming Newberry's first-ever first team all-South Atlantic Conference infielder in his junior season. He was fourth in the league with a .368 batting average and tied for fourth in the league with 50 RBIs. His 50 runs scored were third in the conference and he was second in the conference with a .466 on-base percentage, a .632 slugging percentage and 30 walks. He had 10 homeruns to rank fourth in the league and was 21-for-21 on stolen base attempts to rank second in the league in steals and notch the most steals in the league without being caught. He was one of only two Wolves to play in every game this season.

Rosenberger (Anderson, S.C.) earned second team honors at pitcher after earning first team all-SAC honors in his sophomore season. He led the Wolves to success in the league with an 8-2 record and 2.51 earned run average. His eight wins ranked third in the conference, and his ERA was fifth in the league. He allowed 23 runs in 75.1 innings pitched, striking out 54 and walking only 22, with opponents hitting .228 against him. He won his first six conference starts in order and allowed no more than four earned runs in any start. He was named to the Tino Martinez Award watch list in just his second season.
