RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - Former Newberry College infielder Casio Grider will begin his fourth season in professional baseball with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the Class A Advanced California League.
The Quakes are the High-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who selected Grider in the 14th round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft.
Grider spent the 2011 season with the Great Lakes Loons and compiled a .230 batting average with 96 hits, 22 doubles, 10 triples, two homeruns and 25 RBIs in 120 games. He also stole 31 bases.
