WINGATE, N.C. - Newberry College pulled back over the .500 mark in South Atlantic Conference action with a 6-3 over Wingate University (15-16, 7-5 SAC) in game one of what was supposed to be a double-header on Saturday afternoon. The Indian win upped Newberry's overall record to 13-19 and 7-6 in conference.

After Indian starter Brandon Petty yielded two runs in the first two innings, Newberry took control of the game with all six runs coming in the middle three innings.
