Indians to Play Home Games in Greenville for 2007 Season

NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Newberry College baseball team will play all of their homes games this season in Greenville, S.C. at Greenville Municipal Stadium.  Municipal Stadium was once the home of the Greenville Braves and the Greenville Bombers, an AA and A minor league affiliate for the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox.

In addition to the 25 home games that will be played at Municipal Stadium, the facility will also be the host site of the 2007 South Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament while Newberry will be the host school.

Season tickets are now on sale.  The cost will be $125 dollars (25 games=13 single games and six doubleheaders).  Reserved suite seating will also be available this season.  The price for a suite seating will be $375 which will include a press box level view equipped with a heating system and cushion seats for maximum viewing pleasure.

Walk-up tickets will be $7 the day of the game while walk-up suite seating tickets will be $18.  Fans are reminded that they can send a ticket order by check to the following address:

The gates for each home game will open 90 minutes before each game.  The Indians first home game of 2007 will be on Wednesday, February 14, as they play host to Coker College.  First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

Take College Street/121 towards Interstate 26
Follow the signs for Interstate 26 West towards Spartanburg
Travel approximately 20 miles on 26 West until you come to the I-26/I-385 Interchange
Take the I-385 Interchange (Exit 51) (approximately 29.6 miles)
Merge onto US-276 West via Exit 30 towards Mauldin/Greenville (approximately 2.6 miles)
Turn left onto West Butler Road (approximately 1.6 miles)
West Butler Road will turn into Mauldin Road (approximately 0.9 miles)
Stadium will be on your left.    

From the Columbia Area
Take Interstate 26 West towards Spartanburg
