Dorman resigns as Newberry assistant baseball coach

NEWBERRY, S.C. - Newberry College assistant baseball coach Charles "Bubba" Dorman resigned his position effective April 30, 2005, to accept the head coaching position at USC Salkehatchie.

During his time at Newberry, the Indians compiled a 65-94 record, going 23-40 in the South Atlantic Conference.

"I'm very fortunate to have this opportunity to be a head coach again, and am very fortunate for the three years I've had with Coach Medlin at Newberry College," Dorman said.

Dorman's spent six years as the head coach of then USC Spartanburg.  He spent a year at Spartanburg Methodist College, a year at Socastee High School, one year at VMI, and two years at Coastal before joining Medlin's staff at Newberry.
